A man who lives in Ghana went viral on Monday, December 6, after he was spotted carrying his child and walking briskly in an attempt to get her to school on foot.
He was left with no other option because of the strike action that was undertaken by the Ghana Public Road Transport Union (GPRTU).
The union had embarked on a warning strike in order to persuade government to reduce the hike in fuel prices.
Amid the absence of commercial vehicles on the road, a photo of the man trekking with his child firmly in his hands ended up going viral on social media as many people admired his resilience.
Following the development, a group has decided to purchase a brand new car for the hardworking man to aid in his movement.
Kenneth Awotwe Darko, a multimedia journalist announced this on his Twitter handle, @TheKennethDarko while sharing a photo of the man.
He tweeted; “Y’all remember this man who has become the poster boy for yesterday’s drivers’ protest as he carried his little girl to school? Well, today a group wants to buy him a CAR. Kindly RT to help us locate him”.
