Nigerian superstar singer, Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid set tongues wagging with his decision to respect boundaries during a performance with songstress, Tems.
The duo performed together at ‘Essence Fest’ on Sunday night, the first time they would be jointly mounting a stage in two years.
When they were done singing ‘Essence’, Wizkid was giving a note of thanks and in the middle of his speech, Tems hugged him passionately.
However, the Ojuelegba crooner seemed hesitant, so he did not lean in towards her for a full hug, and this sparked reactions on social media.
The reason for his action may not be unconnected with controversial moment he tried to lift Tems at the “Made In Lagos” concert in the O2 Arena, London in 2021.
The incident garnered mixed reactions from social media users, with many accusing the Starboy Entertainment founder of assaulting her.
However, in a recent clip, the roles were reversed and it was the ‘Try Me’ singer that hugged Wiz and fans were quick to make reference to the past incident.
