Ex-Commissioner for Poverty, Nuhu Clark dies in India
A lawmaker-elect for Chibok State constituency in Borno State House of Assembly, Dr. Nuhu Clark is dead.
The State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Information and Culture, Babakura Abbajatau confirmed the development on Wednesday, April 12.
He said Clark passed on Monday, April 10th while undergoing treatment for an undisclosed ailment in India.
The member-elect, who was a commissioner for poverty in Borno, resigned on 25th of April 2022 to contest the Chibok State Constituency election on the platform of All Progressives Congress.
Abbajatau said that the state government would soon make an official statement after speaking with the family of the deceased.
Borno Deputy Governor, Umar Kadafur, described the death as a huge loss to his immediate family, the people of Southern Borno and the state at large.
