Nigerian music sensation, Kizz Daniel has revealed that his former record label boss, Emperor Geezy still showed concern amid their rift.
He recalled the tumultuous relationship with the G-Worldwide boss while being interviewed by Adesope Olajide on the Afrobeats podcast.
Daniel stated that even during their legal battles, Geezy consistently reached out to guide and shared some words of wisdom to enable him make the right decisions.
The singer said; “Even when we were embroiled in public disputes, he would send me messages pointing out my mistakes, advising me on my actions, and reminding me not to engage in certain behaviors.
“He did this while we were feuding on social media! He was concerned and just wanted to show me that he cared. Unfortunately, most people don’t get to see that side of him. He’s a genuinely good guy.”
In another part of the interview, Kiz Daniel confirmed that he employed Emperor Geezy as Flyboy Inc’s new CEO because he was one of those who wanted his music brand to grow.
He said; “He [Emperor Geezy] is one of the people I can trust the Kizz Daniel brand with, I know he wants this brand to grow.
“We have been friends since last year. We had died the matter [our differences]. I was just like can you hold down the label for me while I record and he said fine. He is one of the people I can trust the Kizz Daniel brand with.
“He is the type I can say you know what; you have passion for this brand and true love, not necessarily me, and I know you want this brand to grow.”
