Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ilorin zonal office, have arrested two lecturers of Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa, Abdullahi Opashola and Adebisi Ademola over alleged involvement in internet fraud.
In a statement by EFCC, 28 others are also alleged to be involved in the crime.
According to the Anti-graft agency, a herbalist suspected to be involved is currently on the run.
“Items recovered from them included cars, phones and laptops among others,” the statement said.
EFCC said the suspects were arrested at different locations within Kwara State following intelligence gathered by operatives of the commission over their alleged involvement in the offences bordering on internet fraud.
