Director-General of the World Health Organization, WHO, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus caused a moment of silence during a recent coronavirus briefing after he coughed while addressing the media.
In a video which has gone viral on social media, the DG was speaking before he felt the urge to cough and did so into his elbow in line with WHO’s directive.
The act of coughing caused a moment of speechlessness at the venue before Dr Ghebreyesus decided to lighten up the mood by cracking a joke and reassuring them that it is not coronavirus. “Don’t worry its not corona,” he said.
