Don’t post my album when I release it – Wizkid warns blogs

Nigerian superstar singer, Ayodeji Balogun also known by his stage name, Wizkid, has issued a stern warning to bloggers regarding his forthcoming studio album.

The ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner in a post on his Instagram story demanded that blogs desist from reporting details of the project when it drops.

Wizkid disclosed that the new album is complete and it is titled “Morayo” in honour of his mother who dies last year.

He also seemed irritated for unknown reasons also heaped abuses on the blogs who done what he dislikes in the past and still intend to so so.

The Grammy winning singer wrote; “Album done! See you soon bxtches! And pls Abeg if u like Pakuruma wizkid don’t download this new album…in fact delete me from your playlist and your life!

And if u like afrobeats pls don’t download my album! I am not a fxxking afrobeats artiste! Don’t call me that hxe. I am not Afro anything bitch! 1 more all you naija blogs or media, don;t post my shxt when it drop. Una papa.”

His warning stirred mixed reactions as fans pondered on Big Wiz’s reason for not wanting media publicity for his next album.

CorrectNG recalls that Damini Ogulu also known as Burna Boy earlier expressed readiness to pay Nigerian blogs to stop publishing articles about him.

The Grammy winner said he was aware that he had paid any blog for publicity or to avoid posting negative reports about him before.

Burna Boy called out some media organisations via his Twitter account on Friday, and urged them deliberate on a price and pass it to him to ‘settle them’.

Meanwhile, Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke also known as Davido, has revealed that he’s finished recording his new album and it is ready for release.

He made the revelation during a live streaming session with international streamer, Kai Cenat who is in Lagos, Nigeria as part of his global tour.

The Omo Baba Olowo also told Kai Cenat that the yet to be released album consists of 15 songs and he featured six artistes.

The singer said; “Same way streaming is your work, recording is my work. We picked lot of records over time, this next record I think I put 15 songs, to about six features.”
