Nigerian Afrobeats star, David Adeleke otherwise known as Davido, has made fun of Canadian rapper, Drake for losing the bet he placed on Francis Ngannou.
Drake had bet a whopping $615,000 that Ngannou will defeat British-Nigerian boxer, Anthony Joshua, but the Cameroonian lost after only two rounds.
Joshua asserted his dominance from the opening bell, scoring a huge first round knockdown when he flattered Ngannou with a vicious right.
Ngannou survived to the second round when he was knocked down again. Joshua then detonated one of his finest ever knockouts to leave the Cameroonian motionless on the canvas, leading to a unanimous victory for the Nigerian.
Prior to the match, the rapper disclosed via his Instagram page that he staked $615,000 on Francis Ngannou, and was expecting a cash out of $1,906,500 if the ‘scary man’ won.
“Betting on a scary man @stake,” Drake wrote.
Unfortunately for him, the former UFC star suffered a devastating defeat and Davido took to his comment section to tease the fellow musician.
The Omo Baba Olowo laughed at him saying that his ticket has been cut, which means that the money he bet is gone and the hope of getting almost 2 million dollars was dashed
“Ur ticket don cut 😂”, the DMW boss wrote.
