Nigerian music stars, David ”Davido” Adeleke, Raoul John Njeng-Njeng better known as Skales, Praise Adejo aka Praiz and Super Eagles player, John Ogu have taken to social media to call out actor turned lawmaker, Desmond Eliiot for speaking on the need to regulate social media.
CorrectNG reported earlier that a video capturing the moment Elliot, the lawmaker representing Surulere constituency in Lagos, allegedly called for social media regulation surfaced online.
But Elliot, days back, denied allegations that he was supporting regulation and control of free speech on social media after being called out by Twitter Influencer, Dr Olufunmilayo.
“In the next five years, there will be no Nigeria if we don’t act now”, he said in the new video.
He also lamented over how children placed curses on politicians on social media without any iota of respect.
“Culture has gone”, he decried.

Desmond Elliot sneaked into the House of Assembly to instigate hate against social media, against us here and against celebs like him.
He is more angry we have a voice than he is angry about the people massacred in Lekki.
Now the video is out:
That man is a complete disgrace.

Desmond Elliot is a bigot with zero intellect, movies don decieve me.
This dude really cares so much about the negative comment on social media and respect than the youths that are being killed.

Desmond Elliot said "in the next 5 years there will be no Nigeria" because we are cursing our Elders who Massacred us at Lekki Toll Gate, kill us everyday not because our Leaders have looted the country dry & made Nigeria Hell on Earth.

If Desmond Elliot and other politicians really care about what the “children” say online, then they should do always the right things when elected.
