Davido seen having fun with Stonebwoy and football agent in Qatar (Video)

Nigerian superstar singer, David ‘Davido’ Adeleke has taken some time to relax and have fun in Qatar ahead of his anticipated performance.

He went on a men’s night out with Ghanaian artiste, Stonebwoy and football agent, Bernard Collington.

CorrectNG reported that he arrived in the Middle East nation a week ago for his performance at the closing ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

However, while the DMW boss awaits the D-Day, the singer decided to chill with friends. A video shared by Benington on Instagram story showed both him and OBO chilling and he also danced with Stonebwoy as their song was being played.

Meanwhile, Hong Kong businessman, Stephen Hung, in a post on his official Instagram page on Thursday, 8th December confirmed that OBO would still perform at the World Cup.

He shared a photo of the Afrobeats star and expressed eagerness to see him perform on the global stage.

Hung wrote, “So happy my bro @davido confirmed he will perform at the World Cup Qatar closing ceremony. Can’t wait to see him there.”

A video which went viral showed the singer alighting from his private jet with a blanket bearing his late son Ifeanyi Adeleke’s face. OBO could be seen in company of his lawyer, Prince Bobo Ajudua, Ubi Franklin and DJ ECool.

Davido was initially scheduled to perform at the World Cup opening ceremony but, unfortunately, could not make it due to the demise of 3-year-old son, Ifeanyi.

The DMW boss will reportedly perform the Qatar World Cup anthem ‘Hayya Hayya (Better Together)’ at the closing ceremony on Sunday, December 18, 2022.

The 30-year-old will grace the stage with American singers, Trinidad Cardona and Qatar singer, Aisha.

Other music stars like Jennifer Lopez and Shakira have earlier performed at FIFA World Cup closing ceremonies.

It may be recalled that Davido lost his son in November, and he maintained radio silence for a while. He made his first appearance at a barbershop to get a haircut after weeks in mourning and then another major one when he came out to support his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, during his inauguration ceremony as the governor of Osun State.
