Davido reacts as chess master, Tunde Onakoya gets hero’s welcome at airport (Video)

Popular musician, David Adeleke better known as Davido, has reacted to the return of chess master, Tunde Onakoya to Nigeria, after breaking a Guinness World Record.

The techpreneur and Chess champion was treated to a royal welcome by his countrymen at the airport after surpassing the previous record for the longest chess marathon.

He reached 60 hours of playtime on Saturday, at the iconic Times Square in New York, USA, making him the new record holder waiting to be confirmed by GWR.

A video which has gone viral on social media showed a cultural troupe serenading Tunde when he arrived at the international airport in Lagos state.

They handed him a bouquet of flowers and he was heralded with singing and dancing by the music band while airport workers as well as flight crew watched and filmed in amazement.

In another clip, Tunde’s parents could be seen celebrating him by breaking into a praise and worship session. The proud father gave him a handshake and called him ‘World Champion’.

Reacting, to the video, Davido noted that there is no better feeling than ones parents showing how proud they are of their child.

“No better feeling”, the Omo Baba Olowo wrote on Twitter.
