Davido finally speaks on 2023 election, says it wasn’t credible [Video]

Top Nigerian musician, David ”Davido” Adeleke has said the 2023 presidential election which held on February 25, was not credible.

The music executive shared his thoughts during an interview on 99.9 Beat FM while on a media tour to promote his newly released 17-track album ‘Timeless’.

Speaking about the 2023 presidential election which has produced, Bola Tinubu as president-elect, Davido said he was happy that people did not attack him for lending his voice being that he was on months-long social media hiatus mourning the death of his late son Ifeanyi Adeleke.

According to Omo Baba Olowo, if he were online during the elections, he would have been vocal about the process which many described as flawed.

He said; “I was happy that people were not really coming at me because I wasn’t even online. If I was online, I would have been vocal about it (the general election).

“… but for me, I was not happy about it and I’m just being honest. It is what it is but for me personally, I do not feel that was a credible election to me. I feel like the most important thing is the safety, lives of everybody in all but that was not”.

CorrectNG reported last week that Hip Hop star, Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez lamented over the coincidence of him and Davido releasing new albums on the same day.

He announced on 16th of March that his next project will be dropping on March 31st and was warming up to the date.

However, on March 21st, Davido took to Twitter to announced that his new album titled TIMELESS will be released on March 31st.

David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, recently ended his social media hiatus in fulfilment of a promise.

He had taken to his Twitter and Instagram pages to announced that his next album titled TIMELESS will be released on 31st of March 2023.

Davido who went offline after losing his son in October 2022, announced in December that would be returning to online platforms in March.

In a post on his page, the FEM crooner dropped a trailer for his forthcoming album and penned a thoughtful message about the need to heal.

He expressed thanks to fans and supporters who stood strong for him and others that were with him through the grieving process.

Davido wrote; “There is a time for everything. A time to Grieve and a time to Heal. A time to Laugh and a time to Dance. A time to Speak & A time for Silence.

Thank you to everyone out there for your love and that has held me down. My next album TIMELESS is here, March 31st. Preorder in bio💚”

This came as a huge shocker and disappointing reality for Blaq because of the high probability of the album reception overshadowing his own song when they both drop.

Blaqbonez wrote; “Damn. can’t enjoy anything in this industry 😭”
