Ace musician, Davido, has credited the account of his non-profit organisation with N306 million for the purpose of disbursing it to orphanages across Nigeria.
CorrectNG reported that Davido made a pledge through his official Twitter account on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 to donate the huge sum of N300m to orphanage homes.
The Omo Baba Olowo had explained that the financial the outreach will be coordinated through his foundation.
In fulfilment of his promise, Davido announced on Wednesday that he has paid the sum of N306,420,973 into the foundation’s account.
He shared proof of the transaction and wrote; “FOUNDATION ACCOUNT CREDITED…. More details to follow soon.”

In his earlier post, Davido stated that he is keeping up with the annual tradition of contributing to the nation that was started few years ago. He said details of the disbursement will be unveiled soon.
The musician had written; “I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria … as my yearly contribution to the Nation ❤️ .. details of disbursement tomorrow 🇳🇬”
CorrectNG reports that this is not the first time OBO is engaging in charitable courses as he donated N237 million to 424 orphanages last year.
The ‘Holy Ground’ crooner said that individuals and cooperations across various sectors and regions contributed to the donation and the funds were disbursed through the David Adeleke Foundation, DAF.
According to a statement Davido released, a total of 13, 818 children benefited from the donation, which he noted encapsulates his motto of ‘We Rise By Lifting Others’.
