Nigerian influencer turned crypto investor, Danny Walter has donated the sum of N1 million to a promising young footballer battling ACL injury.
The young man known as Oshikoya Fuad Olawale revealed that he suffered an serious injury while playing football in August 2023 and needs N3 million for the surgery.
He, however, added that he had been able to raise only N1.5 million of the total money, so he took to social media to beg well-meaning individuals to assist him with funds.
Olawale wrote; “HOW I AM STRUGGLING WITH ACL INJURY. It is With immense reluctance and a wavering resolve, that I FUAD OSHIKOYA OLAWALE have come to seek for your vital assistance in my time of extreme difficulty.
It happened on the 2nd of August 2023 while I was playing for my football club (Ultimate Villa football academy), where I unfortunately encountered an Ill fated tackle which resulted in a very fatal injury.
I immediately went to the hospital where i did several x-ray tests and nothing was discovered from the results until I had an MRI scan which detected that I had suffered a “complete ACL ( Anterior Cruciate Ligament) tear with retraction and bucket handle tear of lateral meniscus “. Then I was subsequently informed that i could only treat my injuries through surgery.”
He added; “My ACL injury has gotten to the stage where I’ve totally lost a lot of muscle mass on my left thigh making it difficult walking. 1.5M raise out of 3M of the surgery fee. Please I’m begging everyone to come to my rescue. It’s been 7 months!!! Please help Donate”
In reaction, Danny Walter shared a screenshot of one million naira which he trasferred to the account that Olawale provided and wished him successful surgery.
