The honourable Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development of Cross River State, Asu Okang, said at public lecture organized by the Students Union Government of the University of Calabar that Cultism is not bad because it allows people to mingle with one another.

However, Okang kicked against the use of arms against each other and advised that youths who do such act should key int0 ECOWAS-EU Small Arms and Light Weapons Disarmament Project. [AdSense-A]

He said: “I am not against cultism because it offers you an opportunity to associate and make friends, what I am against is the raising of arms against each other.

“Youths who indulge in criminal activities like armed robbery, gangsterism, and kidnapping should key into the ECOWAS-EU Small Arms and Light Weapons Disarmament Project and surrender their weapons to enable government help them get sustainable lives”
