Court jails unemployed man for stealing refrigerator parts in Jos

A 20-year-old unemployed man, Bulus Sunday has been convicted by an Area Court in Jos, Plateau State, for stealing refrigerator parts.

Justice Shawomi Bokkos, on Friday, November 10, sentenced Bulus to one-year imprisonment without an option of a fine.

The Prosecutor, Inspector Ibrahim Gokwat, told the court that the the complainant, Pandong Demi, the complainant reported the matter on Sept. 7 at the “A” police station.

He said that the convict trespassed into the house and stole some refrigerator panel, chiller panel and copper wires before he was caught by the security guard.

According to, Gokwat the offence committed by Bulus is in contravention of the provisions of the Plateau State Penal Code.

Delivering judgment on 10th of November 2023, the Judge, Shawomi Bokkos, sentenced the defendant after he pleaded guilty.

A Ghanaian man has returned the sum of 100,000 GhC (N6.48m) which he found inside a taxi be boarded at a petrol station along Nima/Abossey Okai.

The man who is reportedly unemployed said he boarded a cab from a filling station at Nima heading to Abossey Okai in Ghana when he saw a polythene bag in the backseat.

He decided to visit Adom 106.3FM with the intention of locating the owner, so he could return the huge sum of money. The man also revealed that he found ID card, and a key inside the polythene bag.

When asked why he didn’t take the cash considering his situation, he stated that it doesn’t align with his principles as that isn’t how he was raised.

A viral video showed radio anchors interviewing the man who revealed that he is a High school certificate holder.
