A Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday granted a N100m bail to suspected money launderer, Ismaila Mustapha, also known as Mompha. The popular instgram influencer and BDC operator was arraigned by the EFCC for alleged N33billion fraud.

The bail was granted by the presiding judge, Justice Mohammed Liman. The court ordered that the defendant should provide one surety that must have a landed property within the Court’s jurisdiction and the title documents must be verified by relevant Lands authority, while the surety is to be verified by the Court’s Deputy Chief Registrar (DCR).

The bail condition also requires Mompha to submit his international passport and report to the EFCC office every two weeks.

The EFCC arrested Mompha on October 19 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja and days later arrested his Lebanese accomplice at Eko atlantic tower in Victoria Island.

He was remanded in the commission’s custody following a court order.
