Nigerian actor and stand-up comedian, Ayo Makun, professionally known as Comedian AY, has denied having a child out of wedlock.
The entertainer recently stirred controversy and faced backlash when he shared a photo of a 17-year-old boy on Instagram and referred to him as “son”.
However, at the Easter edition of his show, AY Live, the comic act clarified that the boy isn’t his biological son but his younger sister’s child
AY comedian further explained that his sister’s son is also his, hence the reason for addressing the teenager as his son online.
He said; “I want to tell you guys how social media works. Sometimes, there is always a narrative that goes on and people just follow it without any form of investigation. When I posted my son on Instagram, I received all kinds of insults.
They said, ‘Useless man, he don born 17-year-old for outside. This and that.’ Ladies and gentIemen, the son that I posted on Instagram… your sister’s son is also your son. Na my younger sister born am.”

The father-of-two took to his social media page to show off the teenage boy to the public for the first time, and revealed that his name is Denzel.
AY Comedian who shared photos of the celebrant also expressed his eagerness to reunite with the 17-year-old kid as soon as posisble.
AY wrote; “My son is 17. May each day be a step closer to your dreams, filled with the warmth of love and the thrill of new adventures. Happy birthday, Denzel. Daddy loves you. See you soon.”
