CAN calls release of Dasuki, Sowore a Christmas gift

The Federal government’s order for the release of Convener, RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore and former National Security Adviser (NSA) Col. Sambo Dasuki, has received commendation from the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).

Rev. Samson Ayokunle, the President of CAN, expressed the view in a statement signed by Pastor Adebayo Oladeji, Special Assistant, Media and Communications to the CAN President, in Abuja.

Ayokunle described the gesture as a Christmas gift to Nigerians and “a New Dawn for our democracy”.

Recall that CorrectNG reported the Federal government on Tuesday, December 24, ordered the DSS to release him and Ex-National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki.

The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami made this public in a statement.

Malami said the decision to release them was in compliance with the bail granted the two by the court.
