Superstar Nigerian singer, Burna Boy who had an amazing 2018 and has been cruising ever since then, has joined the list of artistes who have won the BET award for Best International act.

Burna Boy was announced the winner of the Best International act category at the 2019 edition of the BET Awards which held at Microsoft Theater on Sunday night, June 23, 2019 in Los Angeles, California.

Burna Boy was nominated alongside Mr Eazi in the category and others stars in the Best International Act category.

The award was received by Burna Boy’s mum and manager, who also attended the award ceremony. In her acceptance speech, Burna Boy’s mum said the message from the singer to every African in diaspora is ‘remember you were first an African before any other thing.’

Other Nigerian acts that have won the BET award include Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, 2Baba and DBanj and Davido.
