Brymo’s songs have healed me – Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi

Omowunmi Aloba, the wife of deceased music star, Ilerioluwa “Mohbad” Aloba, has revealed the relief she gets from listening to Brymo’s song.

The mother-of-one said Brymo’s songs helped her to heal and pulled her out of her darkest days, although she did not mention any specific tracks.

Wunmi took to her social media page to make this known while emphasising how it has served a therapeutic purposes by uplifting her mood. She described Brymo’s musical renditions as “soothing” and “pure bliss.”

She wrote; “Brymo songs have done more than uplift and match my mood; they’ve healed and pulled me out of my darkest days. His music is so soothing, pure bliss”.

It may be recalled that last year, controversial singer, Ọlawale Ọlọfọrọ, popularly known as Brymo accused Afrobeats superstar, Burna Boy of intellectual property theft.

The songwriter alleged that Burna Boy’s song, ‘City Boys’ and album titled ‘I Told Them’ sampled the title track of his upcoming album, ‘Macabre.’ He said what the Grammy wining singer did was a “crime” and he should serve a jail term.

Brymo made a reference to dancehall star, Blackface recent claim that some top musicians stole his songs. The ‘Ara’ crooner vowed to ensure that they regret their actions.

The artiste wrote; “By end of this year y’all will recollect that ‘Macabre’ wasn’t released when in the public, and as privately as it gets .: ‘city boy’.. and ‘I Told You’ were fed to Burna Boy..

“Former of the track titles I mentioned above is there to point me to the fact that the latter, and his album title is the hook I sing on my album title track ‘Macabre’.. burna na really boy.. and that’s a crime.!! An actual crime…To do time for… and if una like make una resurrect legends to come complain about stolen songs… una go regret this shit to numerous degrees… shey una no dey hear word !!.”
