BREAKING NEWS: Top Nigerian Footballer Slumped and Died in England



Former Nigerian-born ex-England international defender, Ugochukue Ehiogu is dead.

The 44-year-old died after suffering a cardiac arrest at Tottenham Hotspur’s training center on Thursday, where he was managing the U-23 team.

Reports released claims that Ugochukue Ehiogu died in the hospital early hours of Friday.

Before his death, Ehiogu played for Aston Villa between 1991 and 2000, making over 200 appearances.

He joined Middlesbrough in 2000, where he spent 7years.

In 1994 and 1996, he won three League Cups with Aston Villa, and with Middlesbrough in 2004 after beating Jay Jay Okocha’s Bolton in the final.
On international level; Ugochukue Ehiogu was capped four times by England.

Ehiogu also played for West Brom, Leeds, Rangers and Sheffield United, before retiring in 2009 after a 20-year professional career.
