American celebrity and Hilton empire heiress, Paris Hilton, had lauded Chess In Slums founder, Tunde Onakoya, for his humanitarian works.
Hilton’s attention was drawn to a post by Onakoya on Monday where he shared the story of a boy he adopted from the slums of Ikorodu, Lagos, who was resuming school.
The young man shared photos of the kid and wrote;
“About a year ago, I found this little boy in the slums of Ikorodu picking scrap from the floor. I adopted him and he has lived with me ever since then.
Today is his first day in school. He aced his entrance examination and will be starting from Primary One”.
The story moved Paris Hilton emotionally and she commented, saying that it was a praise-worthy initiative
The businesswoman quoted the tweet and wrote;
”Such a beautiful story. This made me cry. God bless you for making such a difference in his life. This is what humanity is about.”
Onakoya thanked the heiress for advocating their cause and the she responded by appreciative him for helping less privileged kids.
”Thank you for advocating for our cause @ParisHilton,” he wrote.
“My pleasure. Thank you for what you are doing to help these children. May God always bless you,” Paris replied.
