Biggest artiste in the world – Fans react as Wizkid returns to studio for new music (Video)

Multi award-winning Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Balogun also known as Wizkid, has gotten fans talking about the possibility of releasing new music.

The Starboy who shut down the 60,000 capacity Tottenham stadium, in the United Kingdom last weekend got back into the studio and was filmed working on something new.

In a video which is making the rounds social media platforms, Wizkid could be seen smoking while vibing to an unreleased song.

Fans expressed happiness seeing him in the studio and they hailed the ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner.

Nigerian singer, Charles Chibueze popularly known by his stage name, Crayon has schooled a fan of Burna Boy who came at him on microblogging platform, Twitter for supporting Wizkid.

Crayon had sent congratulatory message to Big Wiz after he shut down the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, London over the weekend.

He shared a photo of the ‘Joro’ crooner at the stadium and tweeted; “Biggest congratulations biggest blessings! biggest bird! 🦅 🐐❤️”

But a tweep with handle @anoutsider4L criticised him for openly hailing Wizkid and denigrating remark about how he will continue to be an upcoming artiste for years.

“Na why you be upcoming for four years. Thrxat gxat”

In response, Crayon told him that as a fan of Burna Boy, one would have expected that he would understand the concept of God’s time being the best . The ‘Ijo’ crooner then declared that he is on his way to take over.

“You’d think a Burna fan would understand God’s time. I’m coming for everything,” he tweeted.

Organisers of the Headies Awards, have debunked rumours that Nigerian superstar singer, Wizkid submitted his latest album, ‘More Love, Less Ego’, for the 16th Headies’ nominations but got declined.

Ayo Animashaun, the CEO of Smooth Promotions, issued the clarification following a viral post suggesting that he turned down Wizzy’s application.

Headies unveiled the nominees for the prestigious award show with Burna Boy having the most nominations which amounted to 11. However, Wizkid was missing from the nominees’ list and this sparked reactions on social media with people expressing disappointment.

A Twitter user @DerrickBugatti shared a screenshot of an alleged Instastory post by Animashau, where the CEO allegedly explained that Wizkid submitted his album for nomination.

“To everyone complaining, Wizkid’s MLLE album was actually submitted to Headies but got declined because we are not accepting just anything, maybe he should work hard for next year!” the Instastory post read.

In reaction through his verified Instagram page, the Smooth Promotions boss, dismissed the viral report credited to him, adding that it was photoshoped.

Sharing a screenshot of the post, Animashaun wrote; “This is malicious! It’s photoshop. Fake! Not me.”
