Housemate of the ongoing Big Brother Naija All Stars season, Uriel Oputa has revealed that she can be a second wife under certain conditions.
She made this known while having a conversation with female housemates who shared their opinions on being a second wife and side-chics, on Saturday
Doyin brought up the topic that stirred the debate after declaring that she can approve of her husband having a mistress but taking his mistress as a second wife.
“I will never agree to my man having a second wife, he can have a side chic,” she said.
In response, Mercy said she would prefer if her husband makes it official by marrying the woman and bringing her home to be her co-wife.
Mercy said: “I would rather my husband brings the side chic home and marries her.”
But Uriel said that she would prefer having a co-wife than sharing her man with a side chic because some men value their secret lovers more than their wives.
Uriel said: “Some men value their side chics’ more than their wife. The woman will just be carrying wife title. I can be a second wife.”
Angel chipped in: “I don’t want it but I don’t have any problem with it.”
CeeC stated: “No matter what, I can never be a second wife.”

CorrectNG reported that a businessman identified as Chuka Emmanuel approached a Customary Court in Jikwoyi, Abuja to seek the dissolution of his marriage because his wife secretly married someone else.
He claimed that his estranged partner, Jane got married to another man after moving out of their matrimonial home three years ago and relocating to a new neighbourhood.
The applicant told the court that he has been the one taking care of their three children since she left all of them in 2020.
According to Emmanuel, he was able to track Jane to the new place she is staying and discovered she has a baby for her second husband.
He told the court: “My wife moved out of our house without informing me. I later found her new location, when I got there I realize that she had married another man and already has a baby for him. It is on this grounds that I seek to dissolve the marriage between us.
“I have been the one taking care of the children, I don’t want anyone to poison their minds against me, I beg this court to stop my wife from coming to my house to see my children in my absence. I beg this honourable court to dissolve the marriage and grant me custody of my three sons”.
