Bandits kidnap APC Women leaders after attending Kaduna governor’s inauguration

Gunmen suspected to be bandits have reportedly abducted two women leaders of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Kaduna state.

The abduction happened along the Manini flashpoint in the Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of the state.

It was gathered that the women leaders, Hajiya Lami Awarware and her assistant, Hajiya Haulatu Aliyu, were returning home after attending the inauguration of the Kaduna state governor, Uba Sani.

The Chairman, Birnin Gwari Emirate Progressive Union, Ishaq Kasai, confirmed the development to journalists on Wednesday, May 31.

According to Sahara Reporters, the suspects, abducted the women with scores of other victims on Tuesday and whisked the women away into the forest.

Kasai said the abductors are yet to contact the families of the victims or any person in the area.
