The All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Nigerian Afrobeat sensations Damini ‘Burna boy’ Ogulu and Ayodeji ‘Wizkid’ Balogun on winning their first Grammy awards.
At the 63rd edition of the awards which held on Sunday night, Burna Boy’s Twice as Tall won the Best Global Music Album, marking his first career Grammy.
Wizkid won as a featured artist on Beyoncé’s ‘Brown Skin Girl’ alongside Saint Jhn and Blue-Ivy Carter for Best Music Video.
Congratulating the singers, the APC said, “We celebrate Nigeria music and Afrobeat stars Damini Ogulu @burnaboy and Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun @wizkidayo on their #GrammyAwards. The best is yet to come.”
Other Nigerian artistes such as Tiwa Savage, Femi Kuti, and Made Kuti got nods for their contributions to Coldplay’s Everyday Life nominated for Album of The Year.
