Akunna said that he ran into an old time friend of his who is an an ECOWAS diplomat and he hinted that the reason is not far fetched from the perception other African countries have about Nigeria being wealthy.
He wrote; “Ran into an ECOWAS diplomat friend of mine a while ago. I began, “Why did you guys appoint Baba to chair the region’s COVID-19 campaign”? He smiled. ” Shebi una get money to spend? Oya, make una dey spend for us”!”
