Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari who is currently at the Aswan Forum in Egypt has declared that nationals of African countries no longer require visa to come to the country as Visas will be issued to them on arrival.
The President said:
“We in Nigeria have already taken the strategic decision to bring down barriers that have hindered the free movement of our people within the continent by introducing the issuance of visa at the point of entry into Nigeria to all persons holding passports of African countries with effect from January, 2020.”
Over 2000 of such visas were issued on arrival to Africans at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Lagos in July.
The president urged fellow heads of state to strive for peace saying conflicts have had devastating effects on communities in the continent.
