All African artistes are not my mate – Singer, Solidstar

Popular singer and songwriter, Joshua Iniyezo, better known by his stage name SolidStar has bragged that he is in a class of his own in the music industry.

He took to his Instagram story said that all the artistes in Nigeria and Africa are not his mates when it comes to music.

Solidstar also grouped their songwriters in the same lower cadre of those who do not measure up to him.

The ‘Omotena’ crooner wrote; “All these musicians, Artist, Plus their writers are not my mate musically, normally in the whole of Africa..”

Similarly, music star, Iyanya has stated that his contribution to the growth of Afrobeats is as noteworthy as that of Wizkid and others.

He made the argument when a Twitter user mocked him with a belittling remark about what Triple MG boss, Ubi Franklin posted.

The music excutive gave a shoutout to Burna Boy, Davido and Wizkid for how they are promoting Afrobeats globally and he mentioned Iyanya too.

The tweep @ManLikeIcey felt it was a joke for Ubi to call Iyanya’s name alongside the leading trio who are international stars.

He wrote; “Ubi Franklin gave shout out to Davido, Wizkid, Rema and Burna Boy for what they’re doing to Afrobeats internationally and he mentioned Iyanya too.”

In reaction, the ‘Kukere’ crooner blaste him and noted that only someone who is brainless will undermine his relevance.

He wrote; “And who are you again? Only a brainless person will try to undermine my contribution to this game till date. You definitely are clueless.”
