Akwapoly lecturer uses Hilda Baci’s Guinness World Record cook-a-thon to set exam question

Following her historic feat on Monday, Nigerian chef, Hilda Essien Bassey aka Hilda Baci has been featured among the examination questions set for students of Akwa Ibom Polytechnic, Ikot, Osurua, on May 17.

A Mass Communication lecturer featured Baci, a native of Akwa Ibom state, as No.2 question, making reference to her trending Guinness World Record cook-a-thon.

The examination held today, May 17, 2023 and a copy of the question paper was sent to CorrectNG.

The exam was set for HND 1 students offering Communication Theories with Course Code; Mac 31 in the first semester 2022/2023 session.

Students were asked to use Hilda’s trending cooking marathon to explain a concept propounded by Canadian-American Pyscologist, Albert Banura, which is part of the syllabus.

The question reads; “Using the social media trending issue of Hilda Baci’s ‘Cook-a-thon, justify the social leaming theory of Albert Bandura.”

This comes barely 48 hours after the chef surpassed the longest cooking record by an individual.

Baci began her four-day ‘cook-a-thon’ on Thursday, May 11 at Amore Gardens, Lekki, Lagos State and stopped at 100 hours on Monday.

The 27-year-old graduate beat the current record of 87 hours, 45 minutes, held by Indian chef, Lata Tondon which she completed in Rewa, India in 2019.

Meanwhile, the Guinness World Record clarified that it will have to review all the evidence first before officially confirming the record.
