AGN speaks on rumoured death of veteran actor, Zack Orji

The Actors Actors’ Guild of Nigeria, (AGN), has debunked reports that veteran Nollywood actor, Zack Orji is dead.

President of AGN, Emeka Rollas, in a Instagram post on Tuesday morning, March 26 said it is mere rumours and Orji is alive.

He urged the public to disregard the rumours being peddled by ‘mischief makers’ stated that it goes to show the extent some people can be wicked.

Rollas wrote: “Mr Zack Orji is alive. Please ignore mischief makers who enjoy circulating fake news. This is to show how wicked some people can be. It is totally unacceptable. He will not die but live to declare the good works of God in Jesus’ name.”

This is coming days after another veteran actor, Amaechi Muonagor, passed away due to kidney failure.

Nigerian actor, and member of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Saidi Balogun earlier said the ruling party will not abandon Zack Orji.

The Yoruba movie star stated that the APC-led Nigerian government was doing all it could to make sure that Orji, a supporter of the party, got back on his feet.

Saidi, who is also the assistant spokesperson of the Performing and Creative Art Directorate of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, made the revelation in an interview.

He said; “We are doing what we can. The authorities concerned were there and they did not abandon him, they rose up to the occasion. Before we can even stretch our hands, they (party) are stretching all their body to make sure he is okay.

“They will do the needful, because whatever we do, people are watching us. They are up to the task. If not, we would have heard a cry from the actor.”
