AGN president, Emeka Rollas makes U-turn, confirms actor Junior Pope’s death

President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Emeka Rollas, has corrected his earlier claim that popular actor, Junior Pope Odonwodo remains alive following a boat accident.

He dismissed reports of the actor’s demise and disclosed that the father of three was receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital, but in a fresh statement confirmed his Pope’s death.

Rollas originally wrote on Wednesday; “What God cannot do does not exist. Junior Pope is alive. He is taking treatment in the hospital.”

But in an Instagram post on Thursday, he wrote; “It is so so sad that our joy was shortlived. My first post was out of excitement when we noticed his tingling fingers.

“Two notable hospitals tried their best to revive him but to no avail. God knows the best. We finally lost him”.

This is also as AGN announced the suspension of movies being shot in riverine areas while taking action against popular actress and filmmaker, Adamma Luke, who produced the movie that made Junior Pope travel by river

In a statement released on Thursday, the guild said movie shoot across the nation on Thursday, 11th April have been suspended. Furthermore, it prohibited actors from working with Adamma Luke as a producer in any movie.
