Nigerian activist, Fawaz Alabi has reportedly drowned at Ibeshe beach in Lagos state amid Eid celebrations.
It was gathered that he went with some friends to the beach for fun activities on Salah day, April 10, but went missing during the outing.
Fawaz’ body was said to have been recovered on Friday, April 12, as it washed ashores the beach after two days of frantically searching for him.
A close friend shared; “Omo @lengdrxx body was found on the shores of Ibeshe beach. He’s been missing since Salah day. He was a very good friend, vocal leader, original Lagos boy. May Allah forgive all his shortcomings.
He was at Ibeshe beach on Eid day. We’re still trying to get more info. But we were told his body has been identified. We’re trying to reach those that they went together but they’ve been unreachable.”
Friends of the social rights advocate have taken to microblogging platform, Twitter now known as X, to mourn him.
