Abia: Rev Sister apprehended as police rescue two kids kidnapped by okada rider

Two out of three children of the same parents, who were abducted by a motorcyclist in Amaba Ime, Ikwuano Local government area of Abia State, have been rescued and reunited with their parents.

CorrectNG recalls that the couple were thrown into a state of confusion and fear when an unidentified motorcycle rider vanished with their three children.

The mother, Mrs Glory Osinachi said her kids, named Gideon Osinachi (8 years), Divine Osinachi (6 years) Israel Osinachi (4 years) disappeared with the man and had been taken to an unknown location.

The distraught woman, recalled how her children visited their grandmother’s home in Amaba Ime community on the same day of their disappearance after returning from school.

Giving an update, Chairman of Ikwuano LGA, Mr Osinachi Nwaka, said two of the children were rescued in Ekwulobia and Nkpor, two different towns in Anambra State, by security operatives.

He claimed that a Reverend Sister who is a member of a child trafficking syndicate has been arrested in connection with the case.

He noted that the disappearance of the three children gave him a sleepless night which prompted him to organize a series of meetings with various arms of security agencies.

“There are syndicates in every local government that trade on children. It amazes me that a man that bought one of the first boys paid N1.8m to buy life.

“A Reverend Sister is the middle person that distributes the children and collects her cut, she’s wearing white and still in state CID till today,” Nwaka said.
