A brilliant student in my class pointed gun at me during election in Rivers – Ex-Corps member

A Nigerian man identified as Dejileye, has recounted his traumatic experience during his mandatory youth service in Rivers state.

He said that as an NYSC member, he worked as an adhoc staff for INEC in Buguma during the presidential election, and he witnessed one of his students working as a thug.

According to Deji, the student pointed a gun at him and told him not try anything funny because the election was not a school matter but real life. He revealed that the guy was the second best student in his class and his action on that day left him totally speechless.

He wrote on Twitter: “Serving NYSC corper, Buguma, Rivers State 2014. During the presidential elections, an AK47 was put in my face by my own student.

“He said “Sir, please don’t try any nonsense, this no be school, this is real life” Taribo was the 2nd best student in my class.

My PPA was previously Krakama but I was transferred to Ido. I lived at KNC though…we had a temporary lodge at one of the main buildings.”
