2023 Election: Thieves want to loot your money – Mr Macaroni warns Nigerians

Nigerian comedian and activist, Debo Adebayo, professionally known as Mr Macaroni, has urged citizens not to sell their votes or elect thieves during the 2023 general polls.

He warned that politicians offering money in exchange for votes are only doing it for selfish reasons and not because they’re coming to serve.

Mr Macaroni issued the warning in a post on his Twitter page on Tuesday, 10th January 2023, as he said that if Nigerians vote in thieves, they will loot the treasury.

The content creator and actor stressed that the nation’s treasury rightfully belongs to the people

He wrote; “Any politician offering you money in exchange for your vote is not going to serve you.

They are only investing. If they get into office, they will loot the Nation’s treasury which rightfully belongs to the people. Do not vote in thieves and looters! They are destroyers.”

Meanwhile, Governor of Delta state and Vice Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ifeanyi Okowa has urged the people to vote the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) out of power in February.

He made the call while addressing supporters at a PDP rally in Warri township stadium, Warri South Local Government Area of the State.

Okowa said APC brought increased hardship and poverty upon Nigerians, but the PDP does not want the people to remain poor after the current government ends in 2023.

The governor stressed that it is in the people’s best interest to ensure APC government leaves office next year because they are the party that brought hunger to Nigeria.

He also addressed claims by the APC that his administration wasted the State’s resources on appointments, saying that he only appointed many people to provide food on the table of Nigerians.

Governor Okowa further tackled the Labour Party, which he said has no hope of victory because “it is only in PDP you can find a road. Let’s vote for PDP.”

He said; “We don’t want poverty to continue. 8 months ago, students were at home. Not going to school because they couldn’t pay. In Delta, people were going to school. We were able to pay salaries. We don’t want that party that’s spoiling things for us. Vote them out.”
