15 alleged fraudsters arrested in Lekki reportedly attempted to destroy evidence

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says it has arrested 15 suspected fraudsters following raids it conducted in the Lekki area of Lagos.

According to Dele Oyewale, EFCC spokesperson, the 15 suspects are believed to be members of Organized Cyber Criminal Syndicate Network (OCCSN).

The suspects are identified as Sunday Okpe, Obarakyo Tega, Taiwo Adelagun, Fasuyi Oladapo, Mark Adedeji Kuju, Abiodun Godspower Odion, Abiodun ThankGod Omoh, Raji Ayo Sheriff, Adeogun Babatunde, Olusesi Razaq Demola, Kole Adetoyinbo, Adelakun Kehinde Adewunmi, Temitope Gabriel Onore, Christopher Blessed and Aniche Ezenwa Francis.

It was also gathered that during the raids which were carried out at Ayo Babatunde Crescent and James Adejumo, the suspects tried to destroy evidence by flushing their mobile devices down the toilet, burning some and throwing their laptops into a nearby bush and lagoon.
