11-year-old Nigerian girl makes the country proud as she builds ICT academy to train other kids (Photos)

Emmanuella Mayaki, an 11-year-old girl has built an academy in Abuja to train other children on Information and Communications Technology.

The centre named Emma ICT Academy was commissioned with dignitaries in attendance, including a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and his wife, Professor Idia Ize-Iyamu.

Professor Idia made the disclosure on Twitter and praised the little girl, describing her as a guru in ICT who intends to transfer her knowledge to other kids.

Emmanuella is the daughter of John Mayaki, the founder of Coalition for Good Governance and Economic Justice in Africa.

Professor Idia tweeted:

“My husband, @PastorIzeIyamu & I attended the official opening of Emma ICT Academy-CodeKid, in Abuja. Emma ICT Academy is set up by 11yrs old Emmanuella Mayaki, daughter of prolific writer, @_johnmayaki, who is an ICT guru. She intends to transfer her ICT knowledge to other kids.”
