What’s wrong if he’s younger? – Phyna bemoans criticism over relationship with Khaid (Video)

Big Brother Naija star, Josephina Ijeoma Otabor, known by her stage name, Phyna, has finally addressed rumours that she’s in a relationship with 19-year-old singer, Khaid.

It may be recalled that weeks ago, Phyna set the internet abuzz when she shared a loved up image with a mystery man who turned out to be Khaid.

Speaking on the criticism she faced over the belief that she was dating a younger man, the 26-year-old reality star bemoaned ‘double standard’ in society where men can be with a much younger women whereas women can’t do same.

She raised question during an episode of Spill With Phyna podcast, as she pointed out that there are men who are happily married to women that are older.

Phyna bemoaned the inbalance and wondered why men can’t be judged with the same standards as women when it comes to relationships.

She said; “Me and this boy take picture; Khaid. He is young and the picture, I posted it. He posted it as well. Omo, if you see the dragging, ‘Oh Phyna, is this boy you’re dating now?’, ‘Oh Phyna is a 30-year-old, this boy is 10 years old.’

“It was so terrible that I was now wondering that in this country we have ladies who are married to way older men. So, I want to know the difference between being a younger man and being a younger girl. Why can’t we have the same balance, I thought they said age is just a number?”
