Portable smokes, womanises and doesn’t pay tithes, yet God keeps blessing him – Dami expresses surprise

A Nigerian battle rapper identified as Dami, has wondered if it is true that only those who live morally, and spiritually upright lives will receive God’s blessings.

He used controversial singer, Portable as a case study and pointed out how he engages in numerous social vices, yet he keeps being blessed.

The young man shared his thoughts while reacting to a report of the collaboration between British rapper, Skepta and Portable.

Dami emphasised that the Zazuu star is not close to God, smokes, womanises and does not pay tithe as many pastors and devout Christians preach, but all that has not hindered his progress.

He wrote; “I will never understand how the universe works, this dude is not even close to God, rarely pays tithe, fights, carries women, smokes, does every bad thing known to man. but here he is, God is steadily blessing him.”

Just recently a Nigerian pastor stirred controversy on the internet following his sermon linking accumulation of wealth to tithe-giving.

Speaking in church as captured in a viral video, the clergyman assured that anyone who pays their tithe and sows seed will definitely become a billionaire.

He likened non-payment of tithes to theft, as he condemned Christians that fall into that category. The cleric said not paying tithes is the same as robbing God, which makes one a thief.

The pastor said; “If you’re not paying your tithe, you’re a thief and you have robbed God. You sow seed and you pay your tithe.

That power of tithe will come, the power of the seed will join together and you become a billionaire. People would be coming to borrow money from your hand. People would be crying but it’s not for you.”
