Grammy-winning American singer, Pink recently had to pause her concert in Australia when a female fan in the crowd suddenly went into labour.
The pop star supported the woman by offering words of encouragement the moment she realised that someone in the audience showed signs of giving birth.
While the pregnant fan was being wheeled out of the venue by a medic, the ‘So What’ hitmaker, paused halfway through her performance to know what was going on.
Pink, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore excitedly tried to find out the baby-to-be’s gender. The 44-year-old singer, late admitted that she didn’t feel they should ‘be looking’ anymore and urged the crowd to give the woman some ‘privacy.’
“Is it Alicia or Alex being born?” she asked.
Pink continued; “Wow, Our Song, that was the one that did it. Wouldn’t have called that one! I thought it would’ve been Get The Party Started or ‘Never Not Gonna Dance Again.”
The performer went on to sweetly congratulate the laboring mom, saying; “That’s exciting. I don’t even know what to say. But we have to sing now. Good luck! It’s gonna be great! You’re gonna do great”
Similarly, in August 2023, during Pink’s concert at Fenway Park in Massachusetts, a fan, named Angela Mercer, who was 31-weeks pregnant at the time, went into labor and later welcomed a baby boy.
