The Nigeria Women’s Basketball team has broken yet another record in the ongoing FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Spain after they defeated Greece. They are set to face USA in the quarter-final

The Nigeria Women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, have qualified for the quarter-final stage of the ongoing FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Spain.

They sealed their place with a narrow 57-56 win over Greece on Wednesday, at the Santa Cruz court in Tenerife.

It was their third consecutive victory, following back-to-back wins against Turkey and Argentina.

The first quarter ended 15 points apiece.

The D’Tigress, however, opened a five-point lead in the second quarter, winning 16-11.

They further increased their lead with a 17-11 win in the third quarter.

However, it did not look too good for the D’Tigress in the final quarter, as they eventually lost 9-19.

The Nigeria Women’s basketball team are billed to face the United States of America in the quarter-final.
