Mohbad honoured with billboard in New York [Video]

A tribute to late Nigerian musician, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba professionally known as Mohbad has featured on a digital billboard in New York.

Amid the candlelight processions being held across states in Nigeria for the rapper who died at the age o 27, a tribute to him recently appeared in the United States of America.

There were different pictures of Mohbad with captions that laid emphasis on the pain of losing him to the cold hands of death and how his legacy would live on.

A resident who spotted the huge billboard in Times Square, New York and was amazed, decided to capture it on camara.

“Will be remembered forever Mohbad legend are never forgotten RIP,” the text reads.

Nigerian musician, Sulaimon Solomon also known as Khaid announced a donation of N2 million to the family of rapper, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba aka Mohbad.

He made the announcement via Twitter (X) on Tuesday, September 19, adding that it is also meant as a support for late Mohbad’s 5-month-old son Liam Aloba.

Khaid who released a tribute song for the artiste who died last Tuesday, said he will give all the royalties from the single to the child

He wrote; “It’s with great pain that I pen this, the past few days have been a rollercoaster of emotions for each and every one of us. We lost a special talent, a great personality and a friend “Imole”.

“In my own little way, I’ll love to support the family by giving N2 Million to the wife of our late brother and covey 100 royalties of the newly released tribute song “Forever” to Liam Aloba Eyinimofeoluwa. Rest On IMOLE”.
