Winner of Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’, Josephina Otabor also known as Phyna claims she paved the way for other female hype artistes in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

The hype priestess said women who were in that field in the country were very few but when she went into the BBNaija house and came out she saw that the number increased because of her.

Phyna, who had a chat with singer, Minz on an episode of her podcast ‘Spill With Phyna’ gave herself credit for inspiring others to join the hype industry and dream big.

She revealed that when she was in Abuja, she was the only hype girl in the entire city and socially active people knew her because she often performed at clubs.

Using herself as a point of reference, the Edo-born reality star stated that she does not believe people who say nobody paved the way for them in their respective field.

Phyna said; “Before I got on Big Brother, I used to be in Abuja. I was the only hype girl in Abuja and I was getting known. I was going to clubs. When I went on the show [BBNaija] and came out, I started seeing plenty hype girls.

“Before, we used to be few. So whether they like it or not, I paved way for them because it was at that point they realised a hype person can go big… A lot of them also follow me on Instagram. Tomorrow now, somebody will say ‘nobody paved way’ for them.”
