I’m cool with my ex-boyfriend, Groovy and his ex, Beauty – Phyna reveals

Winner of Big Brother Naija 2022, Josephina Otabor, better known as Phyna, has revealed that she is on good terms with her ex-boyfriend, Groovy.

The reality TV star also said that she is cordial with former lover’s ex, Beauty Tukura, and her other colleagues Bella and Sheggz.

Phyna who made this known in a recent interactive session with fans on Twitter, however, disclosed that she is not cool with one ex-housemate, which fans suspect is Chichi.

I know I'm pretty - Phyna

Groovy was in two relationships at different points in time during his stay in the BBNaija house, first with Beauty who got disqualified in the second week and later with the season’s winner, Phyna.

Phyna and Chichi traded words during the show reunion in 2023, with the latter threatening to sue the formal over her claims that she abandoned her husband and children in Benin to become a stripper in Lagos.

The Edo-born ex-housemate, who once threatened to physically confront Chichi whenever they met, said; “I am cool with Bella, Sheggz, Beauty and Groovy except one person, and that person, I want beat am.”

Meanwhile, in another news…

Former Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ housemate, Henry Uwakwe, popularly known Groovy, has finally addressed allegations of him using relationships to go far in the show.

According to him, contrary to the narrative peddled by some his colleagues and fans portraying him as not being genuine when he was in the house, he was actually caring, loyal and true to himself.

Groovy made this known in an interview while emphasising that it was wrong for some of his exes’ fans to claim that he deceived the ladies simply because things did not work out.

Groovy said; “I feel there has been a certain perception of me in the public as a result of the relationships I was in while in the house. All those talks about me not being genuine is something I want to clear up, because I actually stayed true to myself. I was caring and loyal. I did not try to deceive anybody. I believed I could win the show, without necessarily having to do any of that.

“What is the essence of winning the show if I lost my mantle or damaged anybody in the process? I feel like some things work out and some things don’t work out. Saying that I am not a genuine person because everything did not work out is a wrong narrative about me. I am not what they said I am.”
