If you earn 800k, don’t date a girl that can bill you N5m – Moet Abebe advises men

Nigerian Video Jockey and media personality, Moet Abebe, has advised men who make N800k monthly to avoid wooing or dating girls that can request as much as N5 million.

This is also as Big Brother Naija star, Tolani Shobajo popularly known as Tolanibaj said it is possible for a man who earns N800,000 to buy wig for his girlfriend.

They both spoke in a recent episode of Bahd and Boujee podcast while weighing into the conversation on whether N800k is enough for a man to survive in Nigeria.

According to Tolanibaj, the middle class man can buy a wig within his means, even if it is the one that costs N100,000 or a synthetic hair.

The podcaster said the fact that a working class man would be able to afford what a certain class of girl needs should serve as a source of motivation to him to work harder so that he can buy whatever she needs.

On her part, Moet Abebe advised men making that amount against going after women who will most likely bill him N5 million.

Tbaj added that if a girl bills a man N5million, he should not insult her online because he is the one who approached a babe whose taste is greater than his own.

CorrectNG recalls that Big Brother Naija 2022 ex-rider, Rachel Edwards earlier advised ladies against dating a man who earns N800,000 or less monthly.

The actress and reality TV star, particularly mentioned Lagos state, noting that such a salary isn’t sufficient to cater for a woman.

Rachel shared this on her Twitter page while emphasising that N800,000 monthly income can’t afford more than a wig.

She wrote; “As a lady, you can’t settle for a man with N800,000 as salary in Lagos. One wig and your man’s salary is finished baby girl.

“It’s sad that most people aren’t bold enough to accept the reality of things in this country. Ordinary $500 is what’s making this man shed tears? What do I expect from a man whose source of livelihood is TikTok gifts, looking for any opportunity to jump in front of a ringlight.”
