I once left a show crying because audience didn’t recognise me – Fireboy DML

Nigerian singer, Adedamola Adefolahan, known professionally as Fireboy DML, has recalled how he left a show in a sad state because of the crowd’s reaction.

He revealed that he want to perform at an event and the audience did not recognise or give him any attention, so he walked out of the place crying.

The YBNL artiste disclosed in a recent interview with Billboard News that the incident happened during his days as a struggling artiste.

Fireboy DML acknowledged that every up-and-coming artiste faces challenges and he was not exempt from such experiences despite now being a star.

He said; “Every upcoming artiste always go through a lot of stuff. There was a show I went to perform and nobody even knew I was on stage or spared me a second glance. Everybody was just dancing.

“The DJ was just DJing. I felt invisible and I went back to the car with my friend crying. I told myself never again. I will never ask for something until I feel like I deserve it.”

Popular Nigerian singer, Spyro has revealed that he was asked to visit a herbalist so that he can have a successful music career, but he declined.

The Who’s Your Guy hit maker said he instead chose to put his trust in Jesus Christ but his colleagues in the industry made a mockery of his decision.

Spyro shared the story in a bid to thank God for how far he has come and being able to make a hit song which gets him recognition.

He said he used to slide into different people’s DMs to solicit support when he was still struggling, but Grace finally found him.

Taking to Twitter, the budding artiste wrote; “Dem say make dem carry me go herbalist wey go run am for me,dem laugh me when I told them JESUS will do mine …Omo I enter DM’s tire but finally JESUS DID.GRACE GRACE GRACE this is my story.”
