A funny video which surfaced online captures the moment a hairstylist and her assistants jumped on the growing trend of Nigerians trying to break a Guinness World Record.
The hairdresser organised a mock attempt to braid hairs of customers for 200 hours – though it was not intended to actually break a record.
She gave the impression that she had done it for 200 hours and counting, but she almost collapsed as a result of exhaustion.
In the playful act, she stylist’s assistant had to support her as she was losing balance and almost fell on the floor.

Meanwhile, her attempt which was a mockery of the recent numerous declarations by Nigerians who wish to become record holders, comes after Guinness World Records (GWR) confirmed Hilda Baci.
She cooked over 110 meals for 100 hours to beat the existing Guinness World Record of 87 hours, 45 minutes and 00 seconds.
Guinness however, reduced her time by 7 hours for slightly breaking a rule, and officially accorded her the record time of 93 hours 11 minutes.
GWR wrote; “Following a thorough review of all the evidence, Guinness World Records can now confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, better known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual), with a time of 93 hours 11 minutes.”
Also, Damilola Adeparusi, popularly known as Chef Dammy, turned to an overnight celebrity following her 120 hours cook-a-thon.
The 22-year-old revealed that she intends to officially break the world record by cooking for 150 hours.
She said; “After the support I have received from fans, well-wishers, and many highly notable individuals in the society. I, Adeparusi Damilola popularly known as Chef Dammy and my team have decided to hold another cook-a-thon programme next month. This time, it will be held for a 150-hour, and it will be duly registered with Guinness World Records. Chef Dammy is coming back!”
