Egg, Turkey is costly – Angel fumes at Nigerians for not worrying over important issues

Big Brother Naija two-time contestant, Angel Smith has lashed out at Nigerians for not focusing on discussing societal matters and challenges facing the country.

This is also as the Akwa-Ibom born brand ambassador berated women who are against female friends calling their husband by his name.

A woman, Nana Firdausi stated that if a friend calls her husband by his name, she will slap the person and they would have a serious fight which will end with them no longer remaining friends.

She tweeted; “As my friend, if you call my husband by his name wallahi I’ll first slap you and we’ll now fight (real fight o) and unfriend each other🤝 Nigba to ma sinwin”

In reaction via the microblogging site, Twitter, Angel was furious about how certain women change into something unpleasant once they find a husband and settle down.

The 23-year-old reality star pointed out how there are more important issues for Nigerians discuss about, like the rising cost of egg and other foodstuff.

Angel said; “Some of you women get married and become insaane “Mrs” now becomes your identity. What am I supposed to call my friend’s husband? Sir?? Or uncle?If I light you and him. Egg is 100 naira o, turkey wey get bbl don Dey cost, let’s be serious dears.”

This is coming on the heels of singer, Ayra Starr apologising after Nigerians dragged her for not greeting iconic singer, King Sunny Ade respectfully.

She performed at the Afrozons pre-Grammy party in Lagos state on Friday and just before she got up on stage, she paid respects to some VIPs, but as she reached King Ade, she gave him a handshake.

Ayra Starr’s action captured in a trending video elicited condemnation from social media users as they lambasted her for disrespecting the Highlife and Juju star by not bowing to greet properly.

Upon being bombarded with comments and messages from angry fans, the Mavin Princess apologised through Twitter and clarified that she did not see his face properly.

She explained that she is not one to be disrespectful as a proper Yoruba girl, the fact of the matter was not fully shown in the short clip. Ayra Starr also apologised directly to King Sunny Ade whom she referred to as an uncle.
